I’ve been saying this for years
Sorry for the delay in between posts; big changes here at the Fashionistanaut offices. Regardless, I happened upon an intriguing article at Medical Daily, which states that researchers at the University of Kansas found that people were able to correctly judge up to 90% of a stranger’s personality traits just by looking at the person’s shoes. The article continues to break down the details a little more, but essentially people have a good chance to predict a stranger’s “gender, age, social status and different personality traits… like whether the owner was an extrovert or introvert, liberal or conservative and the degree of their emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness”. Pretty neat stuff, and an easy way to justify picking up a pair of John Lobbs (as pictured above).
